He jumped in front of me and took the full blow
His blood stained chest was all I saw
No longer did I hear the beat of his heart
No longer was his touch buzzing and electrified
No longer did he feel alive
He felt like a lifeless shell
I didn't even tell him those three words back "I love you."
All I know is that he will be safe,
For he is in a better place
Somewhere he always told me he belonged
He saved me.
In return I stole his life.
Sometimes you don't know what you love.... Till it's gone.
